Manga publisher Kodansha Comics announced today a digital sale on over 100 of their titles. The titles included in the sale are all digital-first series from the publisher, some of which have yet to be made available in print. Eligible titles will be available for up to 50% off, so if you’re in the market for some new manga, or just looking to dip your toes in, this could be a good, cheap place to start.

The full text of the announcement, including all of the included titles, can be found below. Kodansha’s digital-first manga sale runs through November 12th.

Celebrating 100+ series of Digital-first manga!

For the past year, Kodansha Comics has launched dozens of new digital-first manga series, offering an even more diverse and robust library of manga officially in English than what’s available in print. Now that we’ve released 100+ digital-first series, it’s time to celebrate with a HUGE Digital-first Manga Sale with 800+ volumes of manga on sale up to 50% off! This is your perfect chance to go digital and catch up on what’s going on! Questions?—check out our Digital-first manga page to see what’s in store!

Why “digital-first”?

• Because some of these series are now—or soon will be—available in print as well, such as The Quintessential Quintuplets,  Grand Blue Dreaming, and Boarding School Juliet. If it’s not in print yet, tell us what you like!
• Because digital-first allows us to get some of these series to you faster, whether that’s to catch up to a recently animated series or as same-day-as-Japan simulpubs on Crunchyroll or comiXology.
• Because it allows us to bring back some of our favorite out-of-print titles, like Rave MasterDragon Head, and Peach Girl!
• And because it allows us to try something we might not otherwise!

For this week only, all digital-first series are on sale up to 50% off on all our digital-platform partners: BookWalker, comiXology, Google Play, iBooks, Kindle, Kobo, and nook. Sale ends 11/12.

  1. I’m happy to see that more publishers are making their series available digitally. Honestly, when you’re in the middle of reading loads of different series, it’s just better to have them as a digital copy so storage doesn’t become an issue. Personally, I think it also makes it easier to pick up where you left off from in each volume too since you can just pull the series up on your phone. I’m actually in the middle of a really great digital series right now, Broken Melody. It’s a romance series that focuses on a girl who used to be a famous piano prodigy, and a piano teacher who has lost everything that made him happy in his life. If you like drama filled series, I highly recommend checking it out! It’s definitely one of the best digital-only series that I’ve ever read.
