Viral content creator and streamer Karl Jacobs announced a new partnership with publisher Dark Horse for his upcoming comic series, Time Traveler Tales. The surprise announcement occurred during Jacobs’ latest Twitch stream where he played games, chatted with fans, and shared never-before-told details about his upcoming comic series. According to Jacobs, the comic will be inspired by his viral Twitch series, “Tales From The SMP” and will feature a script written by Dave Scheidt and illustrations by Kelly and Nichole Matthews of Kicking Shoes.
“I’m so excited to announce that I will be partnering with Dark Horse Comics for my debut comic series,” said Jacobs. “I’ve been a lifelong fan of Dark Horse, so to be partnering with one of the biggest comic book publishers in the world for my own comic series is a dream come true.”
Jacobs is also the host of the popular podcast Banter With Sapnap and Karl Jacobs and was recently announced as the Creative Ambassador for the national retailer Journeys as well as a partner with Chipotle on the Karl Jacobs Burrito for their new Pollo Asado LTO.
Jacobs’ gaming livestreams, which largely consist of narrative-based Minecraft streams from his server Tales From The SMP, have become appointment viewing for his dedicated audience and feature today’s biggest celebrities and gamers like Lil Nas X, Dream, Corpse Husband, and more.
