Save the date! Jennifer Lopez is set to star in the flim adaptation of the online graphic novel, Marry Me,which is written by Bobby Crosby, drawn by Remy “Eisu” Mokhtar and published by Blatant Comics. J. Lo will take the role of the comic’s main character: a pop star named Stasia. She’s in the middle of her final performance of the year when she stops everything. She sees a shy math teacher holding a ‘marry me’ sign – and she marries him. Owen Wilson is in final negotiations to co-star with Lopez.
John Rogers (Transformers) and Tami Sagher (How I Met Your Mother) are handling the screenplay while Harper Dill (The Mindy Project) is on rewrites. Kat Coiro (It’s Always Sunny in Phildelphia) will direct the adaptation.
Marry Me brings together Lopez, STXfilms and producers Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina. It’s the same team behind 2018’s Second Act and the still-in- production Hustlers. 
Per VarietyMarry Me is set to begin production this fall.
