Starting July 9th, IDW Publishing is sparing us the sweaty trek to comic stores by making their entire day-and-date lineup available on GlobalComix. So crack open a cold drink, crank up the A/C, and sink into your couch with the coolest stories IDW has to offer.
This marks the first time that IDW’s entire day-and-date lineup will be accessible through a digital membership service. And on the same day they hit comic shops too. For $7.99 a month, subscribers to GlobalComix Gold will be able to read new releases from fan-favorite franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, Godzilla, and Sonic the Hedgehog immediately upon release, at no extra cost beyond their membership.

GlobalComix CEO Christopher Carter echoed the enthusiasm, calling the launch a milestone for both companies and readers. “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with IDW and deliver their groundbreaking stories to readers the instant they launch,” said Carter. “This milestone marks a new era of access and choice – elevating the GlobalComix Gold member experience and empowering fans to explore IDW’s iconic worlds on their terms.”
While most IDW titles will be included in GlobalComix Gold on release day, IDW’s acclaimed imprint Top Shelf Productions will be available on an à la carte basis. As such, readers will have the flexibility to pick and choose their favorites while still enjoying immediate access.
In addition to new releases being included with Gold, single-issue purchases will also be available across the platform, with exclusive discounts for members. GlobalComix will celebrate the launch with special editorial features and curated reading lists to help fans dive deeper into IDW’s universe.
GlobalComix highlighted the significance of this step in its own announcement: “This is the first time that IDW’s day-and-date lineup will be available digitally on a membership like GlobalComix Gold.
