    Sounds like Hulk fan-fiction to me. Personally I’m waiting for a purple Hulk, red seems a bit too obvious.

    Kidding aside, it does look like a lot of fun and honestly LOOKS like a Marvel comic I actually want to read. Bring on the Red Hulk

  7. Well, as Mark Waid could tell you, the Green Hulk could kill Superman, but the Red Hulk will have weird effects on him, like giving him a lion’s head or turning him into a baby. Then there’s the Gold Hulk which will take away Supe’s powers, and the White Hulk which kills all vegetation. Contrary to common belief, there is no Purple Hulk as that only appeared in an imaginary story and is not considered part of continuity.

    I think that the Green Lantern Story introducing new colored rings is a pretty good idea, but too many colors for kryptonite and Hulk is a bit silly.

    But hell, comics are silly. As long as hulk has a good artist drawing him smashing stuff a lot what’s not to like….except Loeb. In my opinion he’s pretty weak.

  13. Hey! They are killing a long time cast member. This must be an important story, as death is quite serious. Perhaps it will lead to Still Another Day in which Hulk has to choose to save either Rick Jones or Betty Ross.

  19. Wait. All of the gamma exposed characters seem to be green. And if he can change color (chameleon hulk? Rainbow Hulk?), what about his cousin, Jennifer Walters, who received a blood transfusion from Bruce Banner?

  20. Each of the hulk’s colors usually represents a different persona within Bruce Banner the red hulk is probably another persona coming to the surface.

Inspecting the drawing of the face alone, and remembering a past issue of Deadpool where Deadpool had to jump on the back of the Hulk and extract some blood from him more or less… It makes me wonder if his costume melds with him and he become the new Hulk, or is the red Hulk coming from something from the Hulk continuity alone and not all of Marvel… Fun stuff :)

  23. I have been reading “THE INCREDIBLE HULK” For years. I have never wanted or felt the need to stop reading this title. Now I find out that it will no longer be a Hulk title! That it will be The Incredible Herculies? Screw that and who ever came up with that lame ass idea. Next: The Hulk: RED? What the HELL! All of this pisses me off.

  25. I don’t mind them messing with the Hulk. I don’t mind them putting him into a catatonic state. One Hulk, however, is more than enough.

    They intimated, way back in continuity, that it was Banner’s split personalities and UNIQUE mind that allowed him to become the Hulk at all — so if this isn’t Banner, are they saying that Banner’s mind is no longer unique? If it is Banner — what the heck is up with “red”? I mean, Gamma waves are green, right? They always have been in the past, anyway…

    Let’s just get back to Banner/Hulk and be quits with it. I had turned away from this title for DECADES as I grew older and began finding it silly — I came back on-board with Planet Hulk and World War Hulk (AMAZING bits of drawing and writing)…if they get silly on me again, I’m going to cancel…again…

  26. I think it was better when they just had the Green ‘Savage’ Hulk, Grey ‘Joe Fixit’ Hulk, and plain old Bruce Banner. I think it all started to go down hill when they introduced the ‘Merged’ Hulk. He just never seemed like the Hulk to me, didn’t seem angry enough, not out of control enough.

    Not to say that PAD is a bad writer, quite the opposite actually, but since he created his own personality it seems like every writer has to introduce their own Hulk, Guilt Hulk, Devil Hulk, and so forth.

    The original three make sense, because they can represent internal conflict fairly well. Id Ego and Superego, emotion desire and intellect, child teenager adult, or whatever trinity of concepts you wish to ascribe. Add a fourth one however, and it all starts to get mucky.

    Since this Red Hulk isn’t supposed to be Banner, hopefully Red Hulk will be completely resolved by the end of his story, and we won’t keep popping up over the years.

    I think the guys name is Acuma “an evil version of Ryu”
    Red Hulk looks exactly like him, minus the top knot hair due.
    Completely unoriginal visuals.
    Storywise, big crap…another gama powerhouse.
    Isn’t the abomination enough.
    Don’t try to remake/replace classic hulk villains.
    It seems this is comic’s curse in general.
    Have cool a story like Hulks exiled on alien planet.
    Then have the slugfest revenge story World War Hulk.
    Then follow it with….SURPRISE…red hulk???

  28. Okay…since the days of both inkers Jack Kirby, John Byrne…we had new wussbags giving the Hulk extra stuff-errrr strength….this has gone over the edge here…a red Hulk….? ssssSSSSSHHHHEEEEEESH…!

    I can see Ben Grimms form mutating & gaining (ff-320) it should ‘ve stayed in that route & a lil bit-o-more wits since he headed the FF…
    ( & Yeh,I’ve issues where Ben Grimm-aka the Thing Beat the Hulk Fairly! )

    & Thor with a beard,Spidey with am armored suit, Cap killed (R.I.P.) &Sue Richards gone power crazy (loved it-she is/was hot in the outfit-ala the
    dark Phoenix-Jean Grey or Storm in her ffirst X outing ) but really, a RED HULK…..? GAG……WHAT’S NEXT, GALACTUS HAS KIDS….?

    Hulk has been done to death, hell he was even a gladiator and world leader!

  31. I think the RED/ORANGE Hulk was one of the best things they could have done for the Hulk. Bruce Banner is a very internal emotional person. Everything he’s ever felt in his life was practically suppressed. But when that gamma radiation hit, all those emotions he suppressed in his life took shape in the hulk. Eventually, the stronger, more subdued emotions created split-personalities. With the lastest two versions of the Hulk: Guilt Hulk, Devil Hulk, Banner grows in strength and power.

    The Devil Hulk is strong enough to take out all of Marvel. It took all the psychics, such as Charles Xavier and The Phoenix, to send The Devil Hulk back into the depths of Banner’s mind. It was the only way to defeat him.

    Devil Hulk is pure evil, and has all of Banner’s intelligence. It’s the incarnation of all of Banner’s dark thoughts. And because the Devil Hulk is so powerful, then I’m guessing Banner has had some pretty horrible thoughts going through his head.

    Above isn’t the correct Devil Hulk image. The Guilt and Devil Hulks look more demonic than the traditional Hulks.

  34. i could have swore they killed off rick at the end of WWH. I dont believe the red hulk is a new persona as banner seems catatonic at the moment. It just may be some guy that experimented with hulk’s genetic makeup and energy from alpha or beta whatever radiation and is out trying to bring the hulk out hiding by killing off those who still saw him as a friend. Just a thought

  39. i like this series i believe rick is the red hulk cause he also was pushed out of the way by bruce during the gamma bomb and it must be him?-they only did 2 issuses waiting for more!!!-i enjoy this evil powerful hulk!!!

Whats funny about this Red Hulk is that 30 years ago when I was 7 08 i created a red hulk who was red and orange But get this his name was the incredible Helk because he was from hell. or I think its because he will a little bit of hell to deal with. crazy huh? well I was 8 okay cut me some slack.

  45. I believed at first that it was General Ross but I really think that Doc Sampson is the new red hulk. Tell what yall think.

  46. I agree, Doc Samson went “missing” when the Red Hulk attacked the Helicarrier and seemed to know exactly what happened to the old Abomination. All evidence points to Samson being the Red Hulk.

  47. One more thing I forgot to mention, the Red Hulk leaves traces of Gamma Radiation so it was mentioned that he’s probably someone who’s had previous exposure to it. Doc Samson fits the bill again.
