Gwen Stacy has officially claimed her new codename and now she’s swinging into Earth-616. Following the conclusion of this year’s Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider, Gwen is back in Ghost-Spider #1 and taking advantage of her ability to travel between worlds. With the help of the same creative team who brought Gwen through the devastation of Spider-Geddon, she’s embarking on a whole new adventure that will take her across the Spider-Verse and into the main Marvel Universe.

First on her to-do list is going back to school without her celebrity hanging over her head, but living a normal life is always hard for a spider-person. So what will her spending more time in Earth-616 mean Ghost-Spider and the rest of the Marvel Universe? That has yet to be determined, but one thing is for sure: the new codename rocks.

Marvel provided The Beat with an exclusive, four-page preview of the debut issue, on sale August 21. Take a look at the preview below, then be sure to pick up a copy of Ghost-Spider #1 at your local comic shop on Wednesday.
