It’s going to be bittersweet for fans of the acclaimed Voltron: Legendary Defender series from Dreamworks Animation come December 14 when the 8th and final season airs on Netflix. Between the stunning cosplay at conventions to the licensed merchandise, the Voltron franchise has truly seen new life through everyone involved in this magnificent animated series.
Speaking of toys, looks like Funko announced today licensed Pop! vinyl figures two years after Voltron debuted. Surprised the toy company has only now gotten around to producing figures right before the show ends. All six Paladins are represented plus unsurprisingly a giant 6″ of the Legendary Defender itself, Voltron. I’m sure there are those disappointed not to see figures of some of the other favorite characters most especially Coran or Galra Empire like Zarkon or Lotor. I wouldn’t put it past Funko to announce more figures to its Voltron line in the near future.
