First Look: The Adventure Zone cosplay video has been released

Do you know with the biggest graphic novel of 2018 is going to be?

It’s The Adventure Zone: Here There Be Gerblins. 

In case you came in a little late, The Adventure Zone is an insanely popular podcast in which three brothers – Griffin McElroy, Justin McElroy, Travis McElroy – and their dad, Clint, play Dungeons & Dragons.  It’s hilarious and wildly imaginative: the podcast has been downloaded millions of times and the McElroys have appeared at sold out shows and inspired a rabid and huge following that includes tons of fan art and cosplay.

And later this year, they’ll star in a graphic novel, written by the McElroys and artist Carey Pietsch, The Adventure Zone: Here There Be Gerblins. 

At Emerald City Comic Con, a fan meet-up drew a few hundred fans and revealed some spectacular Adventure Zone cosplay – made all the more amazing by the fact that no one knows what the characters look like, so everyone has their own take. First Second made a music video of the event, and you can see the result above.
