Beyond her acclaimed role as Cersei Lannister in the global phenomenon Game of Thrones, actress Lena Headey has made a career of playing kick-butt female characters whether as a hero or a villain. As announced last summer during SDCC, Headey will be playing perhaps her most unusual yet as the voice of Big Mama, a spider yokai crime boss in Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series.

This isn’t the first time Headey has lent her vocal talents to an animated villain, having voiced Mystique in The Super Hero Squad Show and most recently Morgana in Trollhunters. Anyone who has seen Dredd will remember Headey as the drug lord Ma-Ma, so this seems perfectly in her wheelhouse. Tune in this Saturday!

Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey meet a new foe voiced by guest star Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) in a brand-new episode of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, premiering Saturday, Nov. 17, at 9:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.  In the half-hour special, “Bug Busters,” Headey lends her voice as Big Mama, a gigantic spider yokai who can shoot webs and disguise herself to look like a human.  As a prim and proper mob boss, she runs the Hidden City fight ring and doesn’t let anyone get in her way.

Big Mama faces off against the villainous Baron Draxum, voiced by WWE superstar John Cena, as he attempts to disrupt Big Mama’s plan and the Turtles look for a way to eliminate New York City’s oozesquito problem.
