Jesse James Comics shop in Glendale, AZ is more than just a hub for up-and-coming indie Phoenix comic artist, enthusiastic cosplayers, eager fans, and established local professionals. It’s a family. Jesse James Criscione is one of those crazy shop owners that works 40+ hours to go above and beyond for his customers, and this is just another example of his big heart.

Criscione collected a number of original art and some rare variant comics to auction on eBay to cover funeral expenses for Raven Gregory’s ex-wife that was taken in a hit-and-run accident. It’s worth your time if you’re a fan of Gregory’s work at Zenescope, or can relate to his experience, or an eBay bidder addict. There are number of goodies like a signed John Romita and Stan Lee Amazing Spider-Man artist edition book.

  1. It would be nice if, along with this post, The Beat added Zenescope to the list of publishers on the right sidebar. DC is even listed twice. Also conspicuous by absence are Ape, Aspen, Boom!, Bongo, and Slave Labor, among others.
