Xena and Gabrielle have been on a chaotic journey around the world. From Mexico to Alaska, the pair has made their international tour quite memorable, saving lives, fighting formidable foes, and exploring a variety of locations very different from their homeland. Next stop—Romania in Xena: Warrior Princess #5.

Women and children are disappearing from a “haunted” Romanian village. Xena and her best pal Gabrielle must confront an Old God, one known for malice and blood sacrifice. The deity also craves a return to prominence and will do just about anything to build a following for his nefarious plans.

Writer Vita Ayala (Shuri, Wonder Woman) continues their run on the series. Joining them on this issue is artist Vasco Georgiev (Astro, Shifted). Continuing the tradition of top-notch covers, fans can choose their favorite from David Mack, Rachael Stott, and Paulina Ganucheau.

Xena: Warrior Princess #5 will be available at comic shops this Wednesday August 14. Head to Dynamite’s website for more on the issue and the series. If you prefer digital, get your copy on Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iBooks, Kindle, and other platforms.
