Following on the heels of its incredibly well-received, requisitely spooky first issue, Vault Comics’ haunting new title The Autumnal is set to launch its second issue next week. Just as the first installment established a perfectly creepy setting (that is well-timed with the fall season) and an intricate narrative with Kat, her daughter, and the death that brought them to Comfort Notch at the center, the second entry continues the tale, with more mysteries and plenty of disturbing atmosphere. Read the synopsis from the publisher below:

After missing the funeral of her estranged mother, Kat and her daughter, Sybil, hope to fit into the quaint town of Comfort Notch. But the town’s obscure history and strange customs make it a struggle, leading to a shocking confrontation.

Written by Daniel Kraus and with art by Chris Shehan, the issue features colors by Jason Wordie and letters by Jim Campbell. Tim Daniel is on designs, and fans can look for covers by Shehan and Nathan Gooden.

The Autumnal #2 is set to hit comic shops on Wednesday, October 28. Visit Vault’s website for more or contact your local store for your copy.
