A couple of years ago Arthur De Pin’s The March of the Crabs came out in English, a fable about taking chances in life, with a unique art style (no black line blocks of flat color) and a whimsical storyline about a species of crab that can only walk sideways….and what happens when one breaks or of their parallel world.

Volume 2 is coming from Archaia/Boom! next week and here’s an EXCLUSIVE preview of the second volume (in a trilogy) originally published in France, in which three more Square Crabs break out of their rut and face adventure and danger.

Synopsis: Originally published in French, continue with this second of three volumes of the Eisner Award-nominated adventure from critically acclaimed illustrator and animator Arthur de Pins. It’s crabs versus the world after all species evolve…except one: the square crab. It simply cannot change direction, condemned to walk in one straight line forever. But during one seemingly ordinary summer, three square crabs take matters into their own claws and rebel against the straight and narrow path they have been sentenced to, upending the entire ecosystem in the process.
