IDW Publishing has had incredible success with its horror imprint, the aptley named IDW Dark. Among the standout comic projects was The Exorcism at 1600 Penn, a brilliant blend of sharp political satire and unnerving supernatural horror from creator and writer Hannah Rose May. Given the success of the series, it didn’t come as a surprise when a sequel was announced with The Exorcism at Buckingham Palace. After tackling the White House, it only makes sense to explore British politics. Creator Hannah Rose May returns as writer and is joined by artist Kelsey Ramsay, colorist Heather Breckel, and letterer Jodie Troutman.

Ahead of the pre-order deadline on Monday, The Beat is proud to exclusively reveal preview pages from the first issue of The Exorcism at Buckingham Palace available in comic stores on March 11.

“We’re thrilled to finally throw open the gates of Buckingham Palace with this exclusive preview of The Exorcism at Buckingham Palace,” creator and writer Hannah Rose May told The Beat. “This story is bigger, darker and more ambitious than anything we’ve done before. Kelsey Ramsay and Heather Breckel have absolutely delivered on bringing this nightmare to life. Thank you to everyone who’s pre-ordered and championed this book. New readers can dive straight in, no homework required. Returning fans from The Exorcism at 1600 Penn will spot some satisfying connections to the larger universe we’re building. But whether this is your first exorcism or your second, Buckingham Palace stands on its own. Either way, you’re in for one hell of a ride.”

From Hannah Rose May (The Exorcism at 1600 Penn, Rogues’ Gallery) and Kelsey Ramsay (Moon Dogs, Godzilla: Heist) comes the next installment in the dark series that dared to possess a nation. First, it was America… now, England. It’s 5:00 a.m. at 10 Downing Street. The prime minister gets a call that bolts him upright out of bed: The royal family has been lost at sea. Parliament and Buckingham Palace explode with action in the aftermath. Some suspect the prince and his wife, the princess, were attacked. Others whisper their tragedy was the result of a long-standing family curse…

Either way, playboy and recovering addict Theo Belmont is next in line to the throne. Can he step up to the role? Or will he be consumed by his demons?
