Francine Pascal’s Sweet Valley High is one of the most beloved book series that defined a generation of pre-teens and teens in the ‘80s and ‘90s. It spawned more than 600 novels that have sold over 60 million copies as well as a television series and other spinoffs. With Sweet Valley High-Academic All-Star? fans can now add an original graphic novel to their collection thanks to Dynamite Comics, writer Katy Rex (Charmed Magic School, Jade Street Protection Services), artist Devaki Neogi (The Skeptics, Curb Stomp), and colorist Pippa Mather (Charmed Magic School).

The classic cast is present: the Wakefield twins Jessica and Elizabeth along with their intimate circle of friends and rivals. The story centers on Jessica falling in love with her Shakespeare teacher. She begins to act like her more studious twin sister to impress him, but of course cleaning up Jessica’s mess ends up in Elizabeth’s hands. Problem is, people may have trouble figuring out who is who.

Ahead of the original graphic novel’s release, Dynamite shared some exclusive art. Sweet Valley High-Academic All-Star? hits comic shops tomorrow, July 31. Stop by the publisher’s website to order your copy. You can also grab a digital version on Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more.
