“Battle in the Flower Gardens is a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a long time,” said Medeiros. “When I was a young boy, my family had a tradition of spending every summer at Capão Novo, a beachside town in southern Brazil. It’s where I have some of my fondest memories, and much of that has found its way into this book.”
Medeiros continued, “This book is deeply personal and the process of creating it took me on a sweet journey back to the days of my youth. I hope readers enjoy the story and I encourage them to reminisce about the experiences that have shaped them.”
