The beginning of the year saw the release of Godzilla vs. America, a four-issue anthology comic book miniseries from IDW Publishing that sees the iconic kaiju targeting different cities across the United States, with each issue featuring multiple creative teams. For the final stop of his tour across of America, Godzilla will be paying a visit to Kansas City, Missouri. Hopefully he’s not too upset about the Chiefs losing Super Bowl LIX.
The Beat is proud to exclusively reveal preview pages of Godzilla vs. America: Kansas City. Available next month on October 29, the issue will feature stories by various Kansas City–based comics creators including Freddie E. Williams II, Baldemar Rivas, Jake Smith, Buster Moody, and more. As readers can see from the preview art below, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts may not fare too well. Pre-order deadline is this Monday.

You may have thought your city was too small to attract a kaiju…well, you shouldn’t have stuffed it so full of incredible comics creators. At this point, there’s nothing left to do but enjoy it.
