It’s all been building to this. Ever since writer Dan Abnett and an array of talented artists began work on the post-Rebirth Aquaman, the king of Atlantis has been plagued by enemies on all sides. He’s dealt with terrorist cells of Atlanteans, the American Military, his old rival Black Manta, the shadowy organization known as N.E.M.O., and even Superman himself. However, despite his suspicions, Aquaman could never have realized just how interconnected this disparate array of threats truly was. Everything has been orchestrated to lead to this moment– the moment where America and Atlantis are manipulated into going to war.
