Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Tricksters #3

The anthology series is based on Jim Henson’s The Storyteller, the Emmy Award-winning television show.

In the Tricksters miniseries, stories about legendary mythological tricksters from around the globe are shared, with the first issue, by Jade Zhang and Jonathan Rivera, telling a tale of Anasi, and the second issue, by Erin Kubo ad Jordan Ifueko, telling a story about Eshu, god of mischief.

In the third issue, Reynard the fox may be penniless, but he nevertheless brags to Stork that he has a plan to make plenty of money at the market. But will his scheme backfire? And if so, who will pick up the bill?

In addition to the main cover, there will also be a variant by Dani Pendergast.

And you’ll want to return to your local comic shop again in June, when Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Tricksters #4 by Robin Kaplan and A.L. Kaplan arrives, which recounts the story of Thor and Loki crashing a wedding.

Studios revealed today the first look of JIM HENSON’S THE STORYTELLER: TRICKSTERS #3, the next issue of the new comic book series based on the Emmy Award-winning classic television show, Jim Henson’s The Storyteller, presenting several extraordinary folk tales of legendary tricksters from the four corners of the world. Hugo and Nebula award-winning author Amal El-Mohtar (This is How You Lose The Time War), artist Isa Hanssen, and letterer Jim Campbell present the next standalone chapter of this epic limited series, available in May 2021.

Meet Reynard, a wily but penniless fox who boasts to his learned friend Stork that he will make himself a fortune at the market, despite having nothing to sell but an empty pouch. But Reynard’s scheme may come with terrible consequences, both for the customers he cons and for the con-man himself…
