§ Frank Miller is writing an autobiography, titled Push the Wall: My Life, Writing, Drawing, and the Art of Storytelling. IGN unveiled the cover for the book, which will be released by Canongate on July 14, 2026, during the 40th anniversary of The Dark Knight Returns. Structured into 16 lessons “for the aspiring creative reader,” Push the Wall will see the 68-year old look back on his life and career until this point, and also feature 12 full-color illustrations from his previous work. § Speaking of Miller, his creation Elektra will co-star in the miniseries Psylocke: Ninja. Written by Tim Seeley with art by Nico Leon, the five-parter will see Betsy Braddock clash with the assassin during the period she was a member of the Hand in the early ’90s (shortly after her body swap with Kwannon.) The book marks Seeley’s second miniseries revisiting past X-Men stories, following this year’s Rogue: The Savage Land. Issue #1 will be released on January 21, alongside other X-Men books launching as part of the Shadows of Tomorrow arc in the new year.

§ At Marvel TV’s NYCC ’25 panel, the company debuted a second, full trailer for Wonder Man, officially premiering on Disney+ Tuesday, January 27, at 9 pm ET. Also announced were more VisionQuest cast members, namely James D’Arcy (Agent Carter) as the original J.A.R.V.I.S., Ruaridh Mollica (The Franchise) as Thomas Shepherd (formerly Tommy Maximoff), and Henry Lewis & Jonathan Sayer (The Goes Wrong Show) as Tony Stark’s arm robots D.U.M.-E & U.

Furthermore, X-Men: The Animated Series creators Eric and Julia Lewald, and director Larry Houston, will serve as executive producers on X-Men ’97. The trio were previously credited as consultants on the revival of their show, which will return for season two in Summer 2026. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season two, which will introduce Venom and Gwen Stacy, will then follow in Fall 2026. For more, head to Marvel.com.

§ DC announced upcoming episodes of DC High Volume: Batman, their weekly audio adaptation of classic comics on all major podcast platforms. Highlights include a two-part version of The Killing Joke, starring Troy Baker as the Clown Prince of Crime, that will premiere on December 31. Baker previously voiced the Joker in several other projects, including 2013’s Arkham Origins, which he received a BAFTA nomination for. The new run of stories will begin with a two-part Batman: Ego dramatization on Wednesday, October 29.

§ Deadline reports Butterfly has been canceled after one season. The espionage thriller, executive produced by and starring Daniel Dae Kim, was based on the BOOM! Studios series of the same name by Arash Amel, Marguerite Bennett, Antonio Fuso, and Stefano Simeone, and premiered on Prime Video in August. It was canceled alongside two other new Amazon shows, Countdown (starring Jensen Ackles) and Motorheads, in favor of Ballard, We Were Liars, and Overcompensating.

§ Speaking of South Korean productions, The Chosun Daily reports Netflix will produce Extraction: Taigo, a spin-off of the film series based on the graphic novel Ciudad, starring Don Lee (Eternals) and Lee Jin-wook (Squid Game). The pair will respectively play the mercenary on the titular rescue mission, and the main antagonist. The movie is the second Extraction spin-off in the works, after a TV series starring Omar Sy, Boyd Holbrook, and Natalie Dormer, set to premiere sometime next year. Extraction 3, starring Chris Hemsworth, is also currently in development.

§ Alien Books revealed two Zorro miniseries, Zorro, by Howard Chaykin & Jorge Fornés, and Zorro’s Legacy, by Dan Abnett & Aaron Lopresti. Chaykin and Fornés’s book, which will begin in April, will pit Don Diego de la Vega against none other than Napoleon Bonaparte, while details on Abnett and Lopresti’s were scant, although it appears it will follow a present day Zorro who wields a baton. They’ll mark the first new Zorro comics from Alien, who acquired the license and crowdfunded a reprint of Alex Toth‘s ’60s run earlier this year.

§ Via Deadline, Gungnir Books will publish The Bleed Black, a post-apocalyptic graphic novel by J. Holtham (Bishop: War College) with art by Daz Tibbles (Final Space: The Final Chapter). Due out in 2027, the book follows a Black family from Detroit, ten years after the world was invaded by giant monsters, as they commandeer an unfinished mech to rescue a family member in Colorado. Holtham says, “This one is for my family, for the Black anime kids, for everyone who’s ever wanted to fight the power.”

§ Via AIPT, Ignition Press announced Bloodland, a political horror series by B. Clay Moore and Mack Chater. The book follows the resistance in a United States torn apart by a President who’s allied with vampires to cling to power beyond constitutional term limits. Issue #1 (of 12) will be released sometime early next year, while an ashcan will be available later this month. Moore and Chater previously teamed up at DSTLRY on the ’70s crime thriller Last Flight Out of Wichita, which is currently delayed indefinitely following the publisher’s change in distributor.

§ ComicBookClub reports Oni Press will release a print edition of the webcomic Ladies of the Knight. Created by Fiona Marchbank (Of Her Own Design), the queer-inclusive book follows a female knight, who reluctantly takes on a plucky squire while competing in a jousting tournament. It will be released in July 2026. The original comic debuted on Tapas in 2020, and at the time of writing, consists of 177 pages; you can also read it on its official website.

§ Finally, siblings Adrianne and Eric Palicki are reteaming on Nor Hell A Fury, a supernatural thriller at Space Between Entertainment. Due out in April, the book follows a single mother on a quest for revenge after a botched exorcism is performed on her son. No artist was listed, although Keith Garvey provided the cover for the comic, which will be crowdfunded on Kickstarter. The Palickis previously worked together on No Angel at Black Mask in 2016, which until now, marked Adrianne’s only comics credit.

  1. No one likes to go to a comic book convention and hear that a show based on a comic book has been cancelled. Same thing with San Diego – they announced the cancellation of Resident Alien over there.

    You want to go hear positive news, not negative news.

    And where’s the announcement of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2?

    And honestly, while it was a good show, when it comes to DC cartoons, I’m much more eager for My Adventures with Superman season 3. Yes, we had a great Superman movie this year, when’s second breakfast?
