A new Manhunters mini-series is coming this May from DC comics, with a creative team of writer Marc Andreyko and artist Renato Guedes.

The series will span five issues and essentially spin out of last year’s Event Leviathan mini-series, making it the second book to come from that story, following Event Leviathan: CheckmateManhunters: The Secret History #1 is set to hit shops on May 13, with a variant cover from Jae Lee.

This actually marks a return to the world of Manhunters for Andreyko, who wrote the Manhunter title for the publisher back in 2005. Andreyko was actually a co-creator of the Kate Spencer Manhunter character, who was a big part of Leviathan and will also star in this new book.

The premise of the new Manhunters mini-series is that Kate will be on a quest to learn the full extent of Leviathan’s plans…a quest that will take her through history to the start of the DC Universe. You can find the official PR for the book below, followed by both the regular and variant cover.
