Anime Expo Lite is a wrap, and we’ve got a full rundown of the Crunchyroll’s announcements, including new shows, acquisitions, and a mega summer sale. The online event took place this year in lieu of the in-person Anime Expo, on Friday July 3, and on Saturday, July 4 via Twitch and YouTube. You can check out a detailed schedule here, but we’ll cut to the biggest announcements, trailers, and synopses below.
Crunchyroll is bringing on three new Originals this weekend: TONIKAWA: Over the Moon For You, So I’m a Spider, So What?, and EX-ARM. TONIKAWA is set to launch this October, followed by Spider in January 2021, while EX-ARM is only given a ‘coming soon.’
The streamer also announced five more series outside of its Originals lineup. Likely the most-anticipated of which is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime OAD #4 and #5, while will air beginning on July 8 and this November respectively. Additionally, Monster Girl Doctor, With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun, How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord season 2, and The Hidden Dungeon Only I can Enter will all be on Crunchyroll as well.

About “That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime” OAD #4
Rimuru, now a teacher at the Freedom Academy in the Kingdom of Ingrassia, has become involved in the school’s outdoor training event with his class. The outdoor training event is an annual competition in which the students of each class guard the teachers on a journey to a nearby town. Rimuru is assigned to Class A, while his own students in Class S escort the young Tiss-sensei. All the students are eager to show how much their daily training has paid off, but the situation turns around when they’re attacked by thieves!
