§ More news filtering out of the virtual ComicsPRO meeting for publishers, retailers and (this year) librarians. Jenn Haines, owner of The Dragon chain of comics shops in Guelph, ON, is the new president of the organization, as reported on social media. Haines is a very vocal and active voice in retailing, to his position is a natural for her. I’ll have the complete new board later today.

§ And Dynamite has added another industry veteran to their roster: Vince Letterio, formerly of DC Comics, has been hired as Director of Direct Market Sales, joining Jim “Ski” Sokolowski and Nick Pentz, as new additions.

Letterio was formerly Director of Publishing Operations at DC, where in his 28 years at the company, he become one of the most familiar faces at DC to retailers and convention goers.

“We’re very fortunate to be bringing someone of Vince’s caliber to Dynamite,” added Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and Publisher. “He is one of the most respected people in the industry, and played a key role in the growth of DC’s business for nearly three decades. We’ve worked hand in hand with Vince on crossovers with DC, and saw the results of his initiatives. His reputation with retailers is second to none. I’m looking forward to his working with our team to increase Dynamite‘s sales and market share in the industry”
