This one is a heavy-hitting week in indie comics and pop culture–you won’t want to miss this Crowdfunding Round-Up!
A Whole New World

Goal: $2,000
End Date: May 7 2026
Goodies: Get the digital copy for $20, the community copy bundles for $40, and for $150 have a game session for you and four friends with the experienced GM Valiant Dorian.
A TTRPG webseries capturing the chaos of game design from concept to gameplay.
A Whole New World stands out because of both its creative structure and the intent behind it. This project really did capture my attention with its motive. The Whole New World project began as a charity initiative in support of medical aid for Palestinians, which immediately gives it weight beyond just entertainment.
From there, it grows into a TTRPG webseries that shows the full process of building a game, from worldbuilding to mechanics to actual play. That approach gives you a behind-the-scenes look you don’t usually get with actual play, which makes it easy to get invested whether you’re a TTRPG fan or just curious how these games come together.
It also puts a real focus on marginalized voices, giving creators the space to build worlds that actually reflect their experiences. With the first arc already recorded, it’s something that’s already in motion, which makes backing it feel a lot more solid. You won’t want to miss it!
WYLDHEART: a co-op action RPG set in a rustic fantasy World

Goal: $175,434
End Date: April 30 2026
Goodies: Get the digital copy etc
Kickstarter never ceases to amaze me when it comes to phenomenal projects that populate the platform. As a fan of fantasy, comics, TTRPGS, and more Wyldheart is easily the campaign to get pulled into. Especially if you’re into co-op RPGs or a tabletop-inspired design. Right away, it stands out because of the team behind it. These are former AAA developers stepping away from big studios to build something more personal, and you can feel that in how focused the project is on handcrafted detail and player freedom.
The game leans into a “you are not the chosen one” setup, and that doesn’t sound unique at first, but as you’re building your character from scratch, mixing combat styles, and shaping your own role instead of following a fixed path, you cant help but want to see more from this game. That carries over into the co-op design too, where the drop-in system and shared progression make it easy to actually play with friends without the usual scheduling headaches.
It also helps that the project is already in alpha with core systems in place. This isn’t an early concept; it’s funded and very much a game that exists, and this campaign is about polishing and expanding it into something stronger.
Do not miss out on this, there is a lot to see in this campaign!
Zero Ghost Volume 1: R-Rated Cyberpunk Thriller

Goal: $3,333
End Date: April 23 2026
Goodies: Get the digital copy etc
Graphic Novel collecting Issues 1-3: Action sci-fi in a world where magic exists, but it’s dominated by the criminal underworld.
ZERO GHOST Volume 1 is the kind of campaign that grabs you fast, especially if you’re into high-energy, R-rated sci-fi with an incredible design and look. The hook alone works. A female-led revenge story set in a cyberpunk world where magic is controlled by crime families. A supernatural noir meets John Wick, what more could you ask for?
What really sells it, though, is the creative team. You’ve got experienced names like Justin Jordan, Brian Ching, and Wil Quintana, seeing that just lets readers know there is levels to this.
On top of that, this edition is built as a collector-focused release, with extra pages, variant covers, and limited print elements that won’t be available in stores. With the campaign already far past its goal and close to ending, there’s a real sense of momentum here, which makes jumping in now feel worth it.
Glarien and Thane volumes 1&2

Goal: $9,500
End Date: April 29 2026
Goodies: Get the digital copy for
Love is a battlefield…and Glarien doesn’t take prisoners. A new adult fantasy tale from the early days of White Ash’s very 1st couple
The White Ash universe has been mentioned on the round-up before, so to see Glarien and Thane: Volumes 1 & 2 makes it an easy sell if you’re into fantasy with a strong character core. Framing the story around a fiery, complicated romance that actively shapes two realms gives it a lot more weight than a standard quest-driven fantasy.
What helps is that it’s built to be accessible. Even though it ties into the larger White Ash universe, this story works as a standalone, so you can jump in without needing to catch up on everything else. At the same time, longtime readers get more depth on characters that already matter to them.
There’s also a lot of confidence behind the campaign. The team has been doing this for years and has a strong track record on Kickstarter, which shows in how the project is presented and how quickly it’s passed its goal.
If you love an interesting take on fantasy, and TTRPG’s this is the story for you.
The Official MCR at Dodger Stadium Zine Release + Reading
The Official MCR at Dodger Stadium Zine Release + Reading

Goal: $14.64 per ticket
End Date: July 26, 2026 – 7PM-9PM
Goodies: Release of the fanzine
Celebrating the release of the Kickstarter-funded fanzine by tunnel. Cosplay, readings, photo ops, cake and more.
So this one’s a bit different from the usual Round-Up entries. This is the kind of local event more people should know about. A few weeks back, the Round-Up featured The MCR Dodger Stadium Fanzine, a collection of hundreds of fans celebrating the band’s return from hiatus, packed with photos, excerpts, reactions, and moments from the Dodger Stadium show you won’t really find archived anywhere else.
To celebrate the release, fans are coming together to host an event at Scribble, a community center in Highland Park, Los Angeles. If you can make it out, these are the kinds of gatherings that show why zines still matter, especially within such a small, passionate community.
