In a trailer released to YouTube today, Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, DC Comics celebrated the return of Milestone Comics!
The trailer opens with a shot of the fictional city of Dakota, where the majority of the Milestone stories are set. Narration by Static, who is headlining the flagship title for the re-launch, explains that the Big Bang protest changed everything (for more on this event, check out Milestone Returns: Infinite Edition Zero, which is already available at your local comic shop).

Next, the trailer introduces Rocket and Icon. As Raquel’s narration explains, her life changed when she met a two-hundred year old alien who gives her a power belt and makes her his partner. Rocket and Icon Season One by Reginald Hudlin, Leon Chills, and Doug Braithwaite will begin in July.
And finally, the trailer introduces Hardware, whose narration states that you can only fight for justice if you have the right… well, you know! Curtis Metcalf created a power suit that’s designed for leveling the playing field with the corrupt powers that be! Hardware Season One by Brandon Thomas, Denys Cowan, and Bill Sienkiewicz will begin in August.
All three of these books have a six-issue “season one” scheduled, but during their interview with The Beat (linked above), Ayala made it clear that they were open to writing more issues once the initial arc was concluded… so here’s hoping we have another Milestone trailer to look forward to in six months!
