Brit nerds like Clowes in Paul
Paul is a comedy due next year that follows two English comics nerds -- played by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost -- on a cross country trip that includes Comic-Con. But along the way they meet up with a cute little alien named Paul, portrayed by CGI and voiced by Seth Rogen. Hijinks ensue. It's directed by Greg Mottola who made Superbad and Adventureland, so color this promising.
Walking Dead Recap: A Crossbow to the Brain
Note: I was like a zombie with a half-attached jaw after starting my Monday with a largely unsuccessful dentist’s appointment. That's my excuse for getting this to you late and short. My apologies. Next week will be different.
This week’s episode started off with panoramic views of Merle Dixon still handcuffed and trapped on the Atlanta department store roof.

Essex County named to Essential Top 10 Canadian Novels of the Decade
Via email from Jeff Lemire, the exciting news that "ESSEX COUNTY BECOMES THE FIRST GRAPHIC NOVEL TO BE NAMED ONE OF THE TOP TEN ESSENTIAL CANADIAN BOOKS OF THE DECADE!"
The selection comes as part of Canada Reads, a yearly literacy campaign aimed at spotlighting the best in Canadian literature. Voting was open to the public, and comics types have supported a vote for ESSEX COUNTY as a vote for comics legitimacy, but it's certainly a deserved honor. Lemire's bleak, spare tales of rural Canadian life and coming of age are timeless and powerfully told.

Walking Dead Recap: It takes guts
Last week ‘s Walking Dead left off with everyman hero, Rick Grimes, down one seriously gored horse and trapped inside a tank with throngs of the undead crawling all over it. Will he make it out alive!? Yeah, sure, of course. But not without trial, error, carnage and a morally compromised ol’ lady. This week’s episode, Guts, started off driving home Rick’s cruel fate even further by opening up with his former cop buddy, Shane, licking the now wedding ring eschewing Mrs. Grimes all over.

Also, based on these stills, Tintin will spend the entire movie with his face obscured or in shadow.
