Unauthorized: The Story of Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics is a 2005 documentary by director Ilko Davidov about one of the oddest characters in recent comics history, Todd Loren, the publisher of Revolutionary Comics, which published unauthorized comics bios of rockers like The Grateful Dead and Guns N' Roses. Loren was eventually sued by some of his subjects, but the California Supreme Court upheld his right to publish the somewhat schlocky comics.

As you may recall people are *ahem* sharply divided on the topic of DC Comics doing a Watchmen prequel. Certainly, Watchmen author Alan Moore doesn't think it should happen. Over in world of film and prose, the opposite thing is happening: Paramount Pictures is suing to prevent a new Godfather prose sequel and “protect the integrity and reputation of The Godfather trilogy.”

Gender switched art seems to be very popular these days, as with the gender-swapped JLA and Avengers. Well, over at Escher Girls, webcomic creator Shobana ‘Bob’ Appavu (Demon of the Underground) served up this gender-swapped Avengelyne/Shi cover.

Jim Shooter is a pretty polarizing figure. Love him or hate him, he was a long-serving Editor-in-Chief at Marvel and he's one of the few people not currently working at Marvel that's really qualified to way in on what Marvel's attitude's towards artist selling sketches might be.

James Kochalka has a new tumblr called KOCHALKALAND and it includes doodles and noodles in the Tumblr way, such as the above piece of art for an iPad sequel to Kochalka's video game Glorkian Warrior. The sequel is called Glorkbot’s Mini Adventure, for iPad and other platforms. The game is being developed by Kochalka and Pixeljam.
