The future again looks grim in the new trailer for the upcoming Black Mirror Season 5. Charlie Brooker‘s often terrifying and intense sci-fi anthology series hasn’t had a full season since 2017 and last year, the series instead offered a standalone choose-your-own-adventure narrative with Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.
This new season is just around the corner — literally; the show returns to Netflix June 5. Like previous seasons, episodes this year look to include both recognizable and up-and-coming cast members such as Anthony Mackie, Angourie Rice, Ludi Lin, and Miley Cyrus.
The trailer does an excellent job building intrigue but not really giving any specific plot details away. What’s for certain though is that the series’ signature examination of how we interact with technology is still intact, and it’s sure to keep us on the edge of our seats with three new episodes.
