Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees, Patrick Horvath’s mix of bone chilling horror and cute, cuddly animals, has been one of the biggest recent hits in comics, having sold more than 400,000 comics and collections. Samantha Strong, the lead character, has become so iconic she even crossed over into DC KO and the prequel BTTWNS: RITE OF SPRING has been nominated for an Eisner Award.
What’s left? A lot, but a Halloween Special has to be at the top of the list. So IDW is making our nightmares come true with BENEATH THE TREES WHERE NOBODY SEES: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL. But this time Patrick Horvath is inviting his pals to the mayhem.
James Tynion IV (Exquisite Corpses) and Tyler Boss (You’ll Do Bad Things), Tony Fleecs (Feral) and Dave Wachter (Uncanny Valley), Che Grayson (Absolute Catwoman) and Matt Emmons (The Council of Frogs), and Jared Cullum (Usagi Yojimbo) are all along for the kill spree, and vaiant cover artists include Fleecs, J. Gonzo and Peach Momoko.
