If you’ve ever wanted the inside scoop on what goes on at a comic convention from an A-List team of exhibitors and creators, Dark Horse Comics has the book for you. The publisher today announced Pros And (Comic) Cons, a new anthology edited by Hope Nicholson (The Secret Loves of Geeks series). Sporting a cover by Colleen Coover, the anthology will feature essays and short comics by Brian Michael Bendis, Jim Zub, Kieron Gillen, Amy Chu, Sina Grace, Jenn St-Onge, Anthony Oliveira, Andy Kuhn, Tini Howard, and many, many others.

Pros And (Comic) Cons marks the fifth collaboration between editor/publisher Hope Nicholson and Dark Horse Comics. After Nicholson, though her company, Bedside Press, published The Secret Loves of Geek Girls, she teamed with Dark Horse to republish the book for a wider audience; the venture was successful enough to spawn two sequels. Additionally, Nicholson aided Dark Horse in the creation of Angel Catbird by author Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale) and artists Johnnie Christmas and Tamra Bonvillain.

  1. I only just read the Secret Loves of Geeks recently, and loved it (the prose story about the guy who lied about the extent to which he liked Star Wars, in order to further the relationship, was a standout and will be with me for some time). Totally will get this book. awesome
