At their upfronts yesterday, the Cartoon network revealed a new Batman cartoon called Batman: The Brave and the Bold for the 2008-09 season:
Few details of the new Batman series were unveiled with the announcement. The show will carry on the Dark Knight’s crime-fighting crusade following the recent series finale of the Emmy-winning The Batman.
If it does well, can we also look forward to a Showcase series. World’s Finest, maybe?
This looks extremely cool! I like the artwork & also like the idea of the special guest stars….a nice concept. Anything will be better after the last cartoon they did, ha!

Thanks, Tommy
WB Animation has had this one on the backburner for many years. Originally, according to Paul Dini, it was supposed to be a DTV feature with three stories featuring Green Arrow, Plastic Man, and Aquaman. I’m glad it’s finally seeing the light of day.
Because that last Batman series was wretched.

This will be an intresting cartoon, since i grew-up in the 1960’s,and
collected many of DC’s original BRAVE AND THE BOLD comics, that
featured Batman. of my particular BB tean-ups, was with Batman
and The Flash, which was drawn by Carmine Infantino in 1966,and
later by Neal Adams in 1968. so if this new cartoon series stays
to the tradition of the Silver-Age team-ups,,it will be a first!
