Can’t get enough Rick and Morty? Oni Press has you covered! The long-standing publisher of the Rick and Morty tie-in comics has announced a new four-issue miniseries, Rick and Morty: Worlds Apart, the first issue of which will be arriving in February 2021.

Rick and Morty: Worlds Apart comes from a creative team comprised of Josh Trujillo, Tony Fleecs, Jarrett Williams, Leonardo Ito, and Christopher Crank (Crank!).

Fans of Rick and Morty’s Emmy Award-winning fourth season will be especially interested in this miniseries. According to the press release (which you can read in its entirety below), Trujillo went behind the scenes to prepare for the series, visiting the Rick and Morty writers room to learn more about some of the fan-favorite characters from the animated show’s fourth season.

Rick and Morty season four: “Claw and Hoarder”

The focus on the fourth season explains the presence of Balthromar on the cover of the first issue of Rick and Morty: Worlds Apart. The dragon was at the center of the plot for the Rick and Morty season four episode “Claw and Hoarder” (where he was voiced by Game of Thrones alum Liam Cunningham).

Rick and Morty: Worlds Apart is the latest comic from Oni Press to be based on the animated series from Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, a show so popular it includes everyone from big-screen superhero Chris Evans to real-life super villain Elon Musk among its fandom.

If you’re looking for some previously published Rick and Morty comics to tide you over until Worlds Apart arrives in February, you might consider some of the titles in the already-available Rick and Morty Presents series, with Rick and Morty Presents: The Flesh Curtains #1 by Lilah Sturges, CJ Cannon, Joshua Perez, and Crank! being an especially satisfying read.

Which season four character do you hope to see in Worlds Apart, and why is it that guy from the end of “The Vat of Acid Episode”?
