We’re going back in time this fall to celebrate a major milestone for a legendary comics run. In September, classic Avengers writer Roger Stern is teaming up with Infinity War artist Ron Lim for a new one-shot that takes place during Stern’s time on the series. He worked on the series on and off for almost a decade, from 1979-1988, in addition to writing later Avengers titles as well. This new story is titled Avengers: Loki Unleashed #1, and it takes place during the “Avengers: Under Siege” arc.

Here’s the official synopsis: “The Siege of Avengers Mansion is over, and the Avengers are battered and in disarray. It’s the worst time of all for Loki to discover a new source of mystic energies – one that connects to another classic villain and that will have dire consequences for all of reality unless those Avengers who remain standing are able to intercede!”
