Archie Comics has released full solicitation information for their comics and collections scheduled for September of 2019. Here are a few of the highlights:
- Archie: 1941 writers Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn return with another alternate Archie history miniseries, Archie: 1955. The series, illustrated by Tom Grummett, imagines the Riverdale gang as teens in the mid-’50s at the dawn of the age of rock ‘n’ roll.
- Sabrina’s not-so-chilling adventures reach a conclusion with the final issue of Kelly Thompson and Veronica Fish’s Sabrina, The Teenage Witch miniseries
- On the flip side of that, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series that inspired the Netflix series is getting a deluxe hardcover collection of the series so far. The oversized book will include new bonus material related to the show.
- A pair if new books sport some pretty great covers homaging other classic comics and films. The latest issue of Jughead’s Time Police features a cover paying tribute to Cable’s first appearance in New Mutants #87, while the classic-style Archie & Friends: Back to School one-shot features an homage to the iconic poster for Back to the Future.
- Archie’s line of coloring books gets a new addition and a special guest in Archie & Sabrina’s Halloween Coloring Book. Sure, it’s an adult coloring book, but you could always buy two so you can tear pages out of one to hand out to trick-or-treaters.
