Alien Books is launching a manga line.
Who now? Alien Books is a newish player on the scene who arrived earlier this year with the announcement that they would be publishing Valiant Comics, licensing them away from what remains of Valiant.
A lot of folks were scratching their heads over this somewhat mysterious new company – but it turns out that Alien director Matias Timarchi has been around as Mostros Productiones a respected publisher in Latin America for a long time, licensing a lot of US comics for the Spanish language market, including Valiant and other well known publishers – as well as manga.
And so it seems that Alien has more on its mind including launching a line of manga titles in English in 2024. And even more is to come, we’re told. We’ll have more information on their Valiant comics and more in the weeks to come.
As far as the manga line goes, it debuts at this weekend’s Anime NYC, with a free sampler. The six titles they have announced (with art that is not final it must be noted) are as follows. featuring “tales of rebellion, divine bargains, legendary warriors, elite squads, and the intense coexistence of vampires with a rock twist.”
