Congratulations to Alex Segura. The Beat has obtained verbal confirmation of Alex’s promotion to Co-President of Archie Comics.
Alex was previously doing double duty as SVP of Publicity & Marketing and editing the Dark Circle line (including the criminally under-appreciated Black Hood series – you should go have a look).
And he’s co-writing The Archies series that just debuted, after having written a series of music-related specials and mini’s over the years, like Archie Meets KISS.
And he’s a novelist with a series of mysteries when he’s not busy with Archie.
Alex has been working in marketing & PR roles for DC and Archie going back to 2004, prior to which he was in the newspaper industry.
Alex is an awesome dude, talented and great with freelancers and that goes a long way these days. They are super lucky to have him.
