DC today announced that they plan to return to press on multiple recent, sold-out Batman issues, including a stunning tenth printing for Absolute Batman #1 from Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta. In addition to Absolute Batman #1 and Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, DC will release reprints of four DC K.O. tie-ins, including the Dark Knight-centric Knightfight #1.
The acclaimed Absolute Batman has not only been a constant sell-out, but helped kickstart the Absolute Universe, an alternate timeline from DC that features darker, more intense takes on their flagship superheroes who hail from a world where it’s Darkseid, not Superman, who serves as the cornerstone of DC’s mythology.
Other reprints announced today include second printings of The Flash #26, Superman #31, and Justice League Unlimited #12.
Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, a sold-out issue now selling for more than $20 on eBay and featuring a 30-page lead story written and drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson with stories from James Harren and Meredith McClaren, returns to comics shops with a second printing on January 21.
The issue’s second printing will be offered with a main self-cover ($5.99 cover price) re-presenting the original main cover by Daniel Warren Johnson & Mike Spicer with a recolored logo, an open-to-order foil variant cover version of the original main cover by Johnson & Spicer ($8.99), an open-to-order cardstock variant cover featuring a new image by Johnson ($5.99), and an open-to-order foil variant cover version of Johnson’s new cover ($8.99).
Absolute Batman #1’s tenth printing will arrive with a main self-cover ($4.99) re-presenting Dragotta and Frank Martin’s Absolute Batman #1 main cover with a recolored logo; a new open-to-order cardstock variant cover by InHyuk Lee ($5.99), and an open-to-order foil variant cover version of Lee’s new cover ($7.99).
DC K.O.: Knightfight #1, Justice League Unlimited #12, Superman #31, and The Flash #26—all key issues in the DC K.O. saga—will each return to stores as a second printing on February 4. Each of these second printings will feature their respective issue’s original main cover, all by Dan Mora, with recolored logos. DC K.O.: Knightfight #1 Second Printing, Justice League Unlimited #12 Second Printing, and The Flash #26 Second Printing all have a cover price of $3.99, and Superman #31 Second Printing has a cover price of $4.99.
