It was only a short, uneventful year ago that David S. Pumpkins became the new spirit of Halloween. Portrayed by Tom Hanks, this 80s kick snare infused hob goblin first appeared on a Saturday Night LIve Sketch and worked his way into our hearts from there.
But just as pumpkin is creeping into everything from your coffee to your tacos, David S. Pumpkins is creeping back in his very own animated special! Hanks and co stars/co creators Mikey Day and Bobby Moynihan will voice the special along with Peter Dinklage and the other co creator of the sketch, Streeter Seidell.
The special airs Saturday, October 28 at 11:30 PM ET/PT,
Set in a small suburban town on All Hallows’ Eve, the special centers on David Pumpkins and his skeleton sidekicks who show a young boy and his sister the true meaning of Halloween, answering none of their questions along the way.
Well at sounds touching…or possibly funny. The animation for the special will be by Bento Box Entertainment.
