The nominations for the 2021 Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards have just been announced. Nominees were selected via online voting, for two of the selections, with a jury picking the other three. This year’s jury consists of Dr. Katie Monin, Steenz, Brian Stelfreese, John Siuntres and Amy Dallen.

Voting on the 2021 Final Ballot is now open, is restricted to the comic book industry creative community — anyone involved in and credited with creating comics professionally. Final ballots can be submitted directly or via the website, and voting will close on September 22, 2021. Winners will be announced at the Ringo Awards Banquet and Ceremony in conjunction with the 2021 Baltimore Comic-Con on the evening of Saturday, October 23, 2021.

With the eclectic nominating process, there is no real front-runner, but there are a lot of great comics on here, many not as widely known as they should be, so check them out.
