Cartoon slide shows presented by various creators, featuring Todd Alcott, Robbie Busch, Leela Corman, Julie Klausner, Jim Torok Brian Michael Weaver, David Wells and R.S. with guest appearances by Nina Hellman and James Urbaniak. Leela Corman and Ben Katchor speak with historian Eddy Portnoy. The event will take place in the Garden Cafeteria. The admission is apparently $5 adults/ $8 students/seniors.

San Francisco, CA from 7-9PM “Draw Me a Possum, 63 Ever-Lovin’ Blue-Eyed Years of Pogo” at the Cartoon Art Museum
Mark Burstein, Scott Daley and Steve Leialoha discuss Walt Kelly’s Pogo. Rarely seen book and original artwork will be shown during the presentation.

  1. Hi Heidi. The McCloud talk at Carnegie Mellon is actually on Thursday the 7th at 4:30. I’ll be there and I’m quite excited for it.

  2. Thanks so much for mentioning us, but I wanted to point out that the event won’t be taking place in the Garden Cafeteria, but rather at the grand old Eldridge Street Synagogue. The Garden Cafeteria is the name of our literary series, which honors a now defunct cafeteria next to the Forward building on the Lower East Side where famous Yiddish writers would write and kibitz over coffee.

    Also, the admission cost is incorrect on the website listing – it’s actually $8 adults, $5 students/seniors. :-)
