Holy cow, Emily Carroll is amazing. She’s just posted a new horror comic called some other animal’s meat and just click on over and read it and prepare to be squicked out. As with many of her comics, image and body horror are at the root, but it’s also creepy as hell. And Carroll has also unleashed a variation on her usual drwing, style recalling fasion illustrations from the 40s and 50s to tell the story of a woman and her unhealthy relationship with a skin cream….
Carroll is the author of the much praised collection Through the Woods, which won an Ignatz Award, and she illustrated last years Baba Yaga’s Assistant, written by Marika McCoola.
