A little while back, we told you about Archie’s new Dick Tracy comic. It’s not happening.
So, this is not-great news. @MichaelMoreci @thomaspitilli and I were very much looking forward to creating this comic for you guys. But due to a mistake on the licensor’s part, we won’t be able to make that happen. To say we’re bummed is a huge, huge understatement. https://t.co/4l2M65IPmO

I’m not going to say much else about this. Co-writing a DICK TRACY comic was a dream come true for me, and getting the chance to work with Michael, Tom and @ArchieComics was an amazing experience. Sometimes things just don’t line up. On to the next thing. Thanks, as always.

You will note that the Tribune Content Agency deleted their tweet admitting to the contractual mix up that Segura references in his initial tweet. Stay classy, TCA.
This would not be the first time a syndicate wasn’t aware what their own licensing deals were. Several years back, over at King Features, The Phantom got double booked and it was a bit of a mess.
If Archie’s still on speaking terms with Tribune Content, and nobody will blame them if they’re not, perhaps there’s still time for Broom-Hilda to put in an appearance in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?
Bring back “Terry and the Pirates!”
(Speaking only for myself) Oh, please, don’t …
Actually, I’d like affordable reprints of “Terry,” and Gould’s “Dick Tracy” as well. As in trade paperbacks instead of $50 hardcovers.
