I believe the “Kamandi Challenge” has been stated to be a new series/mini-series in the style of the old “DC Challenge” – where a given writer/artist writes the first issue, and then hands it off to a new writer/artist on the next, with that writer having to resolve a cliffhanger left over from the previous writer without them consulting each other. And so forth.
