Marvel just released Adam Kubert’s cover to INFINITY #1 and to the shock of all, it features Thanos, the universe-spanning avatar of death.
The six-issue miniseries (which arrives in August) will set up a big cosmic battle to save earth and heralds the new “cosmic” style Marvel Universe in the movies. The story features The Inhumans leading the rest of the good guys of the universe in battle against Thanos and the minions of bad. With Thanos rumored as the villain for the next Avengers movie and the Inhumans also being developed for the silver screen, you see how Marvel is using its monthly comics events to fit into the whole package now.
The series is by Jonathan Hickman, Jim Cheung, Jerome Opena & Dustin Weaver, and each issue includes a digital download code and AR materials—including cover recaps, behind-the-scenes features and more—that are available via the Marvel AR app.
