Greg Rucka and Michael Lark are selling new Lazarus t-shirts to raise money for RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.
The shirts are available now through Bonfire, and they feature a Lark rendering of Lazarus’ protagonist Forever Carlyle above the words BELIEVE HER, a phrase that holds a special and poignant relevance this week, following Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony before Congress. BELIEVE HER also ties into the wave of women continuing to come forward within many industries to share accounts of sexual assaults and misconduct.
The fundraiser page, created by Lazarus writer Greg Rucka, notes, “The shirt’s message is straightforward, powerful, and one that is always worth repeating.”
It’s also fitting that Forever Carlye is the character on the shirt, given she’s the hero of a prescient story that detailed shades of today’s tumultuous national moment as far back as 2012. Shirts are available now in multiple colors and designs, ranging from t-shirt to hoodies and more. Prices start at $21.99, and, again most importantly, proceeds benefit RAINN.
