With election day around the corner and national tension at an all time high, DC Comics is releasing Catwoman: Election Night #1 in an effort to satirize and bring some levity into the contentious proceedings. This special comic focuses on Selina Kyle as she deals with two mayoral candidates, including longtime Batman foe The Penguin, who have mysterious plans in mind for Gotham City.
This issue also features the return of Prez in a special backup by writer Mark Russell and artist Ben Caldwell. The much beloved 2015 DC Comics series which focused on a dystopic near future America where teenager Beth Ross is elected U.S. President after becoming a corndog-centric meme. Here, the creative team puts the central focus on gun rights in the United States, introducing the only invention that could top a medical marajuana dispensary bear– a ten gallon gun hat.

It’s mayoral election time in Gotham City, and while the city is up in arms, Catwoman couldn’t care less! But when the candidates get personal, the Feline Fatale decides to get involved—much to the detriment of…well, everyone! This issue contains a special bonus story featuring the return of President Beth Ross from the critically acclaimed PREZ miniseries.
Really wish Gerard Way would save Prez by moving it to his YA imprint.
Selina is bae
