The first full arc of Blue Beetle came to a close last month, and with it, brought the Rebirth introductions of characters like Dr. Fate, Arion, and the return of the Kevin Kho version of OMAC. It was quite a treat at times, with some of Scott Kollins’ best Big Two work in recent years. I know my partner in crime, Kyle, has been a big fan – full disclosure, he’s VERY big on Keith Giffen – just ask him about it…provided you want to hear a treatise on the Legion of Super-Heroes and/0r Ambush Bug.
But back to the point at hand, here comes a new arc for Jaime and company, and with that comes a brand new villain. Check the below preview for Issue #11, brought to you by Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, and Kollins
NEW STORYLINE! With an Earth-threatening menace behind him and Jaime now permanently back as Blue Beetle on his own terms, what’s a hero to do? Clean up the mess in his hometown, find places for his friends and family to live and deal with the latest super-menace to hit El Paso…the man called Ghostfire!
I can’t wait for the eventual return of Ted Kord as the one, true Blue Beetle!
Okay, I know I’m out of touch with the recent history of Arion, but when did he transition away from being a hero?
