E3 2017 marks a transition to a more consumer based show for the largest video game gathering in North America. As part of this new direction, months ago the E3 Coliseum was introduced; a full slate of panels curated by renowned gaming journalist Geoff Keighley. Today, we know exactly what the fans who are lucky enough to spend next week in Los Angeles will get to see. Some surprises are still to be revealed after Monday’s press conferences are over, but in the meantime, we’ll have to settle for knowing Hideo Kojima, James Gunn (Yes that James Gunn), PS4’s exclusive Spider-Man game, and Neil deGrasse Tyson will be part of the new programming featured this year.
Open to all E3 badge holders, fans can begin lining up to attend E3 Coliseum starting at 7 a.m.June 13. The Nova is only a short walk from where E3 is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. E3 Coliseum also is teaming up with Facebook to give the global video game community the chance to watch and ask panelists questions. In addition to Q&As with in-person attendees, fans around the world can visit Facebook.com/E3Expo during E3 Coliseum to watch select panels on Facebook Live and submit questions to be answered by participating panelists. E3 Coliseum panels will also be streamed on Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube.

An exclusive surprise discussion with renowned figures.
We knew Spider-Man would be getting major face time at the show. Before PlayStation’s press conference ends Monday evening we should know what the game will be officially called, a release window, and who the main villain will be. The Square Enix panel listings are the ones that have us most curious. Recently the publisher announced a partnership with Marvel to develop a series of Avengers games. While we’re quite a ways from getting those games in our hands, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for a studio such as Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) to show off art or some kind of new teaser that confirms the lineup of characters. E3 2017 takes place June 13-15, 2017, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. For those who can’t attend, this Saturday, we’ll post where you can watch all of the press conferences online and the panels next week.
