When it was announced that both Carter Hall and Kendra Saunders would appear on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the superhero team-up spin-off of Arrow and The Flash, it was hard to not feel a little trepidation. Two of my favorite superheroes on a CW budget? Didn’t we already go here with Hawkman on Smallville (where it looked awful)? But, The Flash instilled some trust that the team behind this new shared universe of programming knew how to stretch that CGI dollar as far as it will go.
Today, DC Entertainment released the first photo of Falk Hentschel and Ciara Renee as the reincarnated pair.
I guess the wings will show up in post, perhaps? Regardless, they both line up with the aesthetics of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen’s costumes and I look forward to them taking on Vandal Savage (one of my favorite DC villains) in the upcoming series.
A thought just occurred to me…
Is anyone keeping a chronological listing of the live action appearances of DC’s female heroes and villains? I’d be surprised if the list runs more than 30 names. Batgirl, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl/Drusilla…
Could they possibly have made it any less fun? Are they allergic to color?
They look like they’re wearing a variation of Halle Berry’s Cat Woman costume.
