Thien Pham is an Oakland-based cartoonist probably best known for illustrating Gene Luen Yang’s Level Up and his solo graphic novel, Sumo, both published by First Second.
He’s also the creator of “I LIke Eating,” an irregularly appearing strip about his life and various food adventures published in the East Bay Express. Our Junior Free Comics editor Stephen Harrick describes it as “a delightful memoir about Pham’s experiences around food, with each strip usually focusing on a specific type of food or restaurant.”
As with many comic strips that run on print media web sites, they have a few problems getting strips to run at a readable size, but a little tinkering and you should be able to read the text. And get hungry reading about all this amazing food.
